I was getting pain salve at the dispensary and it works great but gets a bit pricey with regular use, so I decided to start making my own salve. There is a few steps to go through to get to this point, unfortunately I had those steps already done. Mainly decarboxylate the cannabis and infuse into your carrier oils. Next time I’ll share the process.
I use 16 grams of cosmetics grade bees wax, 65 grams cannabis infused coconut oil, a bit of cannabis infused olive oil, and some vitamin e at the end. Keep in mind these weights fill one of my 5 oz jars to the top. That’s why I use them. Feel free to experiment with consistency to your liking, or different carrier oils. This is just my process

I use a double boiler with the water below the second pot, just melting with the steam. I bring the water to a boil then turn down to simmer. No need to rush this you don’t want it to boil, just a nice warm melt.

I usually set second pot on to get it warm while I weigh out the bees wax and coconut oil. I start with the bees wax because it takes longer to melt down then the coconut oil does. Stir as it melts completely

Next I add the 65 grams of coconut oil and stir until completely melted and mixed well

Then I add two droppers full of the olive oil, this home brew is very strong smelling so I don’t use much just enough not to notice. Actually overwhelming when trying to cook with it, so it’s used in the salves I make only.

After mixing well, I remove the top pan and let cool to the touch but still warm and liquid. This is when I add few drops of vitamin e, mix it in, then pour into waiting jar.

I put mine in the freezer for 15 minutes then just let it air-dry few hours and put the lid on. I use it for all the usual suspects neck, back, hands, joints, and feet. works great for headaches as well, rub some on your temples, forehead, back of neck. Hope it helps anyone in need
